Outrigger Canoe Snorkel Cruise with BBQ Island Lunch

About This Experience
Moana Adventure Tours collects you from your accommodation and takes you out on the lagoon in a Polynesian outrigger canoe. Over about 26 miles and six hours, the captain stops several times for swimming and snorkelling, including at the coral gardens, where sharks, stingrays and tropical fish may appear. Moana says it does not feed the sharks or rays, and that sightings cannot be guaranteed, with no refund if no animals are seen.
Lunch is a barbecue on a private motu, a long break on an islet in the lagoon, before the canoe returns you to your hotel. Hotel transfers, a local guide, the equipment and lunch are included. Gratuities are not, and the listing asks you to bring sunscreen, a hat and swimwear.
The trip is sold only to adults aged 18 to 99 and the canoe takes a maximum of six couples, which makes it a quiet, small-group day for couples. Families with children cannot book it. It is rated 4.9 from 202 Viator reviews, and in September 2026 it started from $282 per person; check the live price for your date.
The closest alternative on this site is Onoku's canoe day on GetYourGuide: 6 hours 30 minutes in a traditional canoe with a motu picnic, a pareo workshop and a coconut show, from $151 per person, with no adults-only rule but only 9 reviews so far.

The listing caps the tour at a maximum of six couples, which it describes as semi-private. One reviewer counted eight people on the boat in total, with their group of four joined by two other couples.
How much does the outrigger canoe cruise cost?
In September 2026 it started from $282 per person on Viator, with a 4.9 rating from 202 reviews. The price includes hotel pickup and drop-off, a local guide, equipment and a barbecue lunch. Gratuities are extra. Check the live price for your date on the booking page.
Will we see sharks and rays?
The listing says you may encounter sharks, stingrays and tropical fish, but the animals live freely and sightings cannot be guaranteed. No refund is given if no animals are seen. Moana says it does not feed the sharks or stingrays.
What is lunch on the canoe cruise?
Lunch is a barbecue on a private motu, a break on a small islet in the lagoon. Reviewers often mention the lunch and the host who prepares it. The listing does not give a menu, so tell the operator about any dietary needs when you book.
