Full-Day Lagoon Tour with Lunch on Motu Fanfan

4.9 (177 verified reviews)

About This Experience

Manu Taxi Boat, run by Bora Bora Manu Lagoon Excursion, spends a full day in the middle of the lagoon: snorkeling in clear water, meeting the marine life and eating a traditional lunch on Motu Fanfan. You meet the boat at the water's edge at the end of a seaside path near the Tiare Market supermarket, marked by a white "MANU TAXI BOAT" sign.

The itinerary lists four stops. About an hour at the Coral Garden, with reef fish and sometimes stingrays. About an hour looking for manta rays around the Anau area, where they are possible but never guaranteed. Around four hours on Motu Fanfan for lunch and beach time. And about an hour with blacktip reef sharks and stingrays. Lunch is grilled fish and chicken, raw fish in coconut milk, rice, taro, manioc, banana poe, coconut bread, local fruit, juice and water, with other drinks on sale.

It suits travellers who want a long, unhurried day with a big stretch of motu time and are happy to make their own way to the meeting point. Bring a towel, fins and sunscreen, since the listing excludes all three, and note that alcohol is not included. The listing asks for at least a moderate level of fitness and does not recommend the trip for travellers with spinal injuries, pregnant travellers or those with poor cardiovascular health.

In September 2026 it is from $146 per person on Viator, rated 4.9 from 177 reviews. The closest alternative on this site is Rohivai Tours' full-day safari with motu lunch (516522), from $171 per person on GetYourGuide: an hour shorter, with boat pickup from your resort, towel and fins included. Check the live price for your date before you book.

What Travelers Say

Rated 4.9/5 by 177 verified GetYourGuide travelers.

Worth it. Might be the only thing worth it in Bora Bora because the main island sure doesn't come close to the expectations one comes here with, but the views on this trip were worth it. Tuhiti was a great guide, great English speaking skills and great attitude.

— Hemalddesai, Sep 2026

We are very happy taking this excursion in Bora Bora. All the stops were excellent. Saw so many fishes including stingrays during our snorkeling stop at coral garden. We were thrill to see so many blacktip sharks at one of our stop. Lunch was excellent at their own motu.
